Kahuku Farms – a must visit!

My wife and I always wanted to try Kahuku Farms, but couldn’t find the time to make it out to the North Shore.  But we had a 3-day weekend a few weeks ago and took full advantage of this opportunity.  Since the boys enjoy the beach, we made a stop at Shark’s Cove on the North Shore to check out some tide pools.  The current was somewhat rough so this beach was perfect because the reef helped block most of the waves.

After a little over an hour of tide pooling, we headed out to Kahuku.  It was well worth the trip.

Kahuku Farms is right across the street from Romy’s Kahuku Prawns and Shrimp.  The menu is simple and straight forward.  They even have a farm tour (on a tractor).  We didn’t get a chance to take the tour but I’m sure the kids would have loved it.

The food was nothing short of great.  Most of their ingredients are from their farm.  Can’t get better than that.  We had their pizza, sandwich, banana bread, and smoothies.  ALL very delicious.

The food was great, the people were extremely nice, and farm was just beautiful.  It was an overall wonderful experience.

After we ate our meal, we continued our drive down the east side of island to complete our circle-island drive.  It was a great day.  So if you can, please make your way to the Kahuku Farms.  You will not be disappointed.
