Lima beans

My son’s class did this pretty neat experiment with Lima beans. One seed was in dirt and another in a wet paper towel. After he brought the seeds home, I found a beat up container (that stored their toy cars), drilled holes, added dirt, and then planted the seeds. I placed the container in an area where he would see it daily as well as water them.

The seed that was in the wet paper towel had more roots so we thought it would grow faster. Actually, it was the other seed that took to its new environment. Next, we’ll see if it starts to grow some beans.

Update 03-04-12:  Lima beans!!  Now, what do I do with them?
